  • Our Top 10 tips when visiting WTM London for the first time

    1. Wear comfortable shoes
Yes, it seems simple enough but comfort is key when walking around a huge venue like ExCeL. Don’t forget to also wrap up warm, bring an umbrella and then drop them in the cloakroom so you don’t have to carry them around.
    2. Print and bring your badge to avoid the queues
If you print the e-badge that is emailed to you and bring it along with you, you can skip all the queues and go straight into the show.
    3. Pick up a Route Planner and an Event Guide
These will be your guide and your manual onsite. The Route Planner will help you map out the show and get full details of all of the conferences and sessions taking place, and the Event Guide will have the full details of all the Exhibitors at the show, including their contact details, so this is a great way to look them up later.
    4. Plan your day
The best way to get the most out of WTM London is to plan your day prior to the event. If you check back on our website you will see a full list of all the conferences, seminars, and press conferences, so you can plan your time around which ones you want to attend. You can also find a full exhibitor list and their stand number in case you want to pay them a visit at the show.
    5. Remember to come and talk to us if you need help!
We have one main info point in the middle of the Concourse outside S5 and N5 entrances. If you need help with anything, come and ask us, we would be happy to help!
    6. Make your research about what’s around the venue
We have a useful helpful page on our website (click here) which will help you in finding accommodation near the venue, finding places to eat, or planning your journey.
    7. Network, Network, and Network some more
We don’t need to tell you, the best way to communicate is face to face and WTM London is known for creating life-long business connections. Take this opportunity to make time for good old networking. Introduce yourself to people at the show, remember they are all in the same boat, and chat to them about your company and ways you want to improve your business. Make sure you take plenty of business cards that include your social media handles.
    8. Pick up a bag and fill it with goodies
We have some great re-usable bags on bag trees dotted along the concourse. Make sure you pick up a bag to hold all your publications, leaflets, pens, or any other freebies you can get your hands on.
    9. Use our official hashtags
Not only is it a great way to be a part of the huge WTM community, but also it gives you that extra visibility amongst your peers and is a good way to meet new people. Our official hashtags are #IdeasArriveHere and #WTMLDN
    10. And last but not least…dance and party with us at the WTM Festivals!
Make sure you don’t miss out one of the most exciting things happening at WTM, the festivals! They begin at 16:30 on Wednesday 6 November, and will be across the entire show floor, so you can’t miss it. This year we are combining them with the WTM 40th anniversary celebrations! So as well as the fantastic destinations and brands hosting parties, we will also host our very own celebrations across all the Inspiration Zones. Get ready to mingle, dance, and raise a glass to 40 incredible years of WTM London.
