Amar Latif is a blind international motivational speaker, television personality, entrepreneur, and world traveller. He is the founder of Traveleyes, a world unique and award-winning travel company specialising in holidays for both blind and sighted travellers. In 2004, Amar set out to explore the world, but was rejected from mainstream travel companies. Determined to travel the world as an independent blind person, and empower thousands of other blind travellers to do the same, Amar left his successful career as an accountant in the corporate world, and created an innovative way for blind & sighted travellers to explore the world together – sighted travellers act as the eyes for blind travellers, describing the sights as they travel together, and in return, travel for a reduced price. The worldwide market leaders in specialist group travel for blind and sighted travellers, Traveleyes now offers over 70 destinations a year. An accomplished and sought after international motivational speaker, Amar has delivered worldwide speeches covering a wide range of topics, including inspiration, positivity, entrepreneurship, and inclusivity. In June 2019, Amar delivered a speech at TEDx Glasgow on ‘Being Limitless’, and overcoming obstacles, showing that whatever challenges you face, you don’t have to stop living life to the full. Amar has worked on numerous television programmes with the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 as a presenter and director, including: How To Get Fit Fast, Thrifty Ways To…Summer Holiday, The Last Leg Goes Downunder and more recently, River Walks which recently won a Royal Television Society Award for ‘Best Single Documentary’. His latest venture, Travelling Blind, saw Amar partnered up with comedian Sara Pascoe as they travelled through Turkey together, demonstrating the dynamics of travelling as a sighted and visually impaired duo.
