The Future of Wellness Travel hosted by Global Wellness Institute

The Future of Wellness Travel hosted by Global Wellness Institute

6 Nov 2017, 10:30 - 12:00

WTM Inspire Theatre - EU490

Wellness tourism is growing twice as fast as tourism overall, and has shown robust growth every year since the Global Wellness Institute first defined the category and began tracking its revenue. It is now over a half-trillion-dollar market and shows no sign of slowing down – expected to reach $800 billion-plus by 2020. This session will emphasize both current and future trends that will help set the foundation for a person, company or country who wants to profit from engaging with this sector.

Speakers include:

Dr. Franz Linser:   The Essence of Wellness Tourism:  It’s Understanding Will Assure Success for Healthy Hotels and Wellness Retreats

Ms. Susie Ellis:  Wellness Trends 2030:  Findings from the October 2017 collaboration between the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) and the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute (GDI)

Ms. Sue Harmsworth:  Luxury:  Past, Present, Future

Mr. Vicente Torres and Ms. Delia de Miguel:  Fresh Ideas in Marketing and PR for Regions and Countries – Case Study:  Ibisa

Ms. Stella Potti:  What Consumers are Saying This Year that is Different From Last Year
